  • Tiny clawfoot restored and waiting for installation (yes, I do live with bathtubs strewn about the house basically all the time).

  • My grandma really got around. These stamps are both mysterious and amazing, given that she was raised in a tent in the hinterlands of Washington state and worked in a gas station her entire life.

  • Remnants of the 1964-65 (sort of) World’s Fair. Queens, NY.

It is more difficult than you might imagine to restore a house (as opposed to, for instance, renovating a house). This bathtub was parked in a room far too small to accommodate the size; out it goes to make way for a suitable replacement.

18 hours in my life: discovered gas leak / evacuated building / home declared Type A Hazard / watched as repair crew smashed thru (recently restored) walls on all 4 floors / found this broken statue on the corner.
