Final fitting! My sad broken down feet are beyond thankful for the wonders of bespoke British craftsmanship.
Though I think the cobbler was actually German, which just makes the whole thing more fairy-tale-ish.

One of the trickier bits of the restoration of this house: replacing missing shutters with exact replicas.
The new shutters were made by an artisan, in Brooklyn, using materials and methods as close to original as possible.
Even the guy who made them thought I was a wee bit OCD about the whole thing… and he drives a vintage motorcycle with sidecar.
